Odd things...

While living in a box here for the next umpteen days until the house signing, I'm finding it strangely comforting how little I'm going to miss around here. Yes, I've worked very hard on my beautiful gardens, but I plan to make something even more wondrous at the new house. Yes, I like that it really gets quiet around here at night, but I suspect it's even more so in a town of 1900. It isn't even the darkest of the darkest skies around here, because I'm more than certain one clear night up there we will be seeing hundreds more stars than ever before...

No, there are only two things I'm really going to miss... and honestly, I'll still have them...
One, is my son and the ease at which we can see him.
Two, the train across the street.

Luckily, my son will come to visit and there are trains working at the taconite plant.

Newness is strange, I concede to that, but newness that's going to bring great things is a welcomed relief.
