Honestly, all those candidates did was say 'buzz words' in order to get the Millenials in the audience to cheer for them. Please. Do any of those kids who were clapping understand the shit storm that's about to come their way? Do they comprehend that the next idiot in the White House is going to fuck them over with taxes, insurance and not listening?
All of them briefly touched on something, but never went in depth and when they weren't 'explaining' why their opponent was wrong, they were bragging on and on about this bill, that bill and how they've listened and taken selfies with oh, so many people, giving the impression that they had a 'heart' and that they cared', but did they? When they lose will they remember or give a shit about the person they were waxing sentimentally on at this debate? Oh, hell no. Nor will they give a flying fuck when elected.
Here in the town I now call home, mining ore is the business so many look to for employment. In the country right now there is zero demand for ore, so companies are shutting down and Cloquet is one town that's about to get hit hard by this downturn and I fear this is going to spread to the company here, Cliffs. If they should close their doors so many people would be floundering here... after losing their jobs, then they'd loose their homes... and so on.
They discussed climate change, but not one mentioned that if they got into office how they'd demand big business start cleaning up it's act to stop polluting. Frightening.
The candidates talked about big pharma and how they're gouging American citizens for drugs. And yet, none of them discussed what fucking butt pirates insurance companies are. Not one. None of them mentioned decent paying jobs, decent companies...
They all acted like they were looking at a man who'd just severed his leg... which made them say, "Oh, I see you have a boo boo. Here's a Band-Aid."
One gal talked about a guy who needs insulin and can't afford it. His daughter and his sister all share insulin in order to stay alive. What?!
Not one of them had the courage to say what was really going on... but had plenty of mouth to blame a lot of shit on Trump. Hey, ALL politicians are useless bags of dreck, but putting the blame on someone else is just handing over that Band-Aid. How in hell does that help the American people?
Some of them even believed there should be reparation made to descendants of slaves. Are you fucking shitting me? Or reparation to those tossed out of the country.
Where, exactly, do they believe this money is coming from... magic faeries in Butt Fuck Land who'll do nothing but shit out necessary funds 24/7? NO. It's going to come from hard working Americans who are already fucked over! If the government or politicians want to make reparations for the shit THEY CAUSED, then let them open THEIR pocket books and write out a check for those they consider injured, but do not put another burden on the taxpayers to right a wrong our government did. That's simply insane!
You know, I'm the kind of woman who'd love to believe that America is great and was founded on great principles, but when you look back at our history, hell, it was NEVER a great country, NEVER founded on great principles. White men came here: Raped, murdered and took the Native American land... and then decided it was white men who made this a great country. It's not a great country. It's the not the worst, but it's far from the best... not that I could name any country that doesn't have a 'shit for brains douche bagging' government.
And if I had to hear Yang say one more fucking time that his parents were immigrants I was going to toss my tea mug at the TV. We're ALL fucking immigrants, unless we have a name like Red Cloud, Running Bull or Sitting Bear. Jesus!
