Close Encounters of the Covid-19 Kind

Firstly, my apologies to Mr. Speilberg for using his great film about something exceptionally retarded, but here goes...

In 1977 this great film came out. It was about aliens who were slowly and surely making contact with the inhabitants of the earth, silently asking them to come to a designated spot to have a 'meet and greet'. Those who got the psychic connection found their way to the spot allocated: Devil's Tower, Wyoming. Most did not, unfortunately. The military got wind of it as well and decided that normal people couldn't be involved, so some crazy, horrific story had to be conjured up in order to 'frighten the people'. Since it was cattle country, they made up some nonsense about a train derailing that supposedly carried some noxious material, making the entire area dangerous to humans, thereby neatly and easily clearing them out.

Any of this sound familiar? No... well, then, I'll continue...

Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss) an ordinary man, felt compelled to be there and when he finally reaches his destination, he's stopped by the military and taken, by force, to go to a van and climb in, which makes he says that the only bad air there was those guys (the military), farting around.

Later, at a makeshift compound beneath the tower, the main scientist, a Mr. Lacombe, sits with each of the individuals, where he interviews them. When doing so with Roy Neary, he asks why he felt compelled to be there, even when he knew there was poisonous gas outside. Roy tells him boldly that he doesn't think there's anything wrong with the air. Mr. Lacombe then says, "Step outside, make me a liar." Roy doesn't, of course, but imagine if he would have... the military would have stopped him at the door and told him that it was for his own protection he not proceed any further. You know damn well that only would have strengthen Roy's resolve. Later in the film the military gasses a man who tried getting there... and they were positively vigilant in trying to get Roy when he escaped, but he got to the site and was able to not only witness the aliens arriving, but they invited him to go with them.

You may think that by writing this I'm saying aliens are involved here... hell, you don't know me very well then, because no extra-terrestrials are anywhere in this schematic. Oh no. The only bad air here is from those wealthy looking to get wealthier by buying bullshit bespoken tranche opportunites (waiting for the housing market to fail), but it had to be choreographed carefully, because if 2008 were to happened as blatantly as it did before then anarchy would rule the day. I don't know about other countries, I only speak for the United States of America. America, since it's birth in 1776 has proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it HATES oppressors and if the government were to fuck us over again, believe me, anarchy would win out. So, the master manipulators had to be more crafty and fulsome in their approach...

I'm Roy Neary... I've had that fucking mud Devil's Tower sitting in my subconscious family room for three years, wondering why I hadn't been able to understand the reasons for it's seemingly languishing beginnings... until this virus.

Charlie's virus = Roy Neary's poison gas. The only difference here is that Roy's poison gas turned out to be an extraordinary trip for him... whereas Charlie's virus is going to be a descent into such long lasting, sustained mayhem that the light from Planet Chaos couldn't reach the Ramifications Galaxy.

Trust me, for God's sake... the ONLY bad air around here is those guys... farting around!

(And when are the frightened masses going to realize that if it was a true pandemic it sure as hell wouldn't need the media or the governments to alert people, because seeing someone drop dead within hours of catching it would be the surely be a tell tale sign something was wrong.)
