Paying it forward

Today we had to run down to Two Harbors and, as usual when there, we had Mickey D's for lunch. It had been a weird morning, seeing so many wearing their 'fashion accessories', a.k.a. face masks, that it was quite disheartening to the pair of us. Honestly, by the time we got lunch, we pretty much wanted to run home and get out of Crazy Town, even though Two Harbors is pretty small in comparison to how large most crazy towns are right about now...
Anyway, we're sitting in the drive-thru line, which seems to be taking quite a while, when we finally reach the pay window, where our 11.90 order... we only owe 1.90 from. Huh? Here a woman in a car, several ahead of ours, decided to pay 10 dollars towards X number of meals behind her. When we asked why, the gal just said, maybe she was paying it forward. How sweet. Another kind and wonderful act in this oh so weary world. God bless that woman, whoever she was. May all her dreams come true.
