I just watched a show on Netflix called "Saving Capitalism" and thought, wow, the guy speaking, Robert Reich, seems on the ball... so I made the cardinal error of going to his website... which was rife with Biden, Biden, Biden and that brought about my writing this letter to him -
Good afternoon,
I just finished watching your "Saving Capitalism" on Netflix and I have to say that while it seemed good for 2017, I dare say if grass roots movements were helping America, then big business found a way to shut it down with an imaginary 'pandemic' which is literally killing America and making those in charge welcome a more fascist state with mandates, closures and vaccines. My husband now makes $10.50 an hour, part time, without insurance, although we're fortunate because we have no debt. Honestly, I thought I was going to see something better on your website, but I see 'Biden, Biden, Biden', as if he's the second coming, and that frightens me beyond measure. I don't believe that any politician has the peoples' betterment in mind. They're all now government by the insidious monster of money and when the people become too aware or too angry, what mysteriously happens, 'something BIG' that seems to conveniently and cleverly distract the America people. And most people, sadly, are distracted, i.e.: this bullshit pandemic. A simple question - when did citizens lose the right to decide if they want the flu or not? The more complex question - when did the government believe it was their right to make those decisions for us?
Americans are now so mired in hopelessness and helplessness, not wanting to be foisted a vaccine, tired of breathing in their own breath behind masks and confused as to why taxes are going up on schools when schools are basically closed... none of it makes any sense, nor has it since it's onset. Yet here we are, 2021, still donning masks, still kowtowing to a government making the absolute worst decisions for us... and I come here to find a scintilla of salvation to the current lunacy of Biden, but instead am being bombarded with touts of Biden, yippie… Biden, whose executive order immediately got rid of jobs, and wants to force federal employees to receive an untested, untried drug. Do you remember how the government responded to Gulf War Illness? "It was the pesticides used by other countries"... not the horrific three-series shots of Anthrax, oh no, that wasn't the cause...
Before the election my state rep called here to, well, lick me up the side to see if I'll vote for him, but I'm not timid. I asked him point blank what he and the government was going to do to help the people this bullshit was hurting? He perpetrated the psycho-jargon that all was good and he 'understood' and he thought the officials were doing a fine job. A fine job? I asked him if he realized how many people lost their jobs, how many people were going to lose their homes, how many families are falling apart and yet he continued on with, it's all good. Honestly, I'd like to see his point of view, but, I just can't get my head that far up my ass.
I'm not one of those people who sit idly by and do nothing. I've been writing letters regarding issues for over twenty years now. I even tried to encourage a new medal to give to the families in honor of fallen soldiers, remembering their sacrifices. I made the prototypes, wrote a beautiful letter and sent one to Hillary, George Bush and McCain. Know what I heard back? I received a signed photo of President Bush, with his aide telling me a president can't be involved in the 'construction of a medal'. Packing up the photo and the letter filled with rhetoric, I wrote back, "Are you kidding me? Washington helped create the Purple Heart and Lincoln helped construct the Medal of Honor.” Not surprisingly I never heard back from him.
Now, people can't live, people can't protest and people aren't even allowed to say, write or print a negative word against the bullshit this government is belching. Wow... how very Nazi Germany, circa 1935.
You, in the show, seemed like you had your shit together, I was honestly cheering you on, until I came to your site and discovered you were a Biden supporter. And sadly, I guess as denizens of this country, since the government rules us, we have to chose one devil or the other to ‘rule’ over us. I chose neither of these jackals. I don’t think anyone is fit to serve such a wondrous office until they decide they’re going to open the books to the people, they’ll stop the corruption and they’ll admit just how dirty, disgusting and vicious the entire system is.
That, I’m afraid, will never happen. You, too, fell victim to the ugliness that is what’s inherently wrong with this country… nobody listens and everybody accuses the other guy of their foibles.
Trump was not the answer.
Biden is not the answer.
In the entirety of my lifetime no one has been worthy of that office.
Things are getting worse.
Do I have hope for the future? Honestly, no, because no one has the courage to stand up to this filth and yell ENOUGH, not even me, because I’m an aging domestic goddess who’s skin is white, who doesn’t have a job and who believes that political correctness was the bane of this countries existence. Good people outnumber the shitty humans and these are the very people our government continues to destroy under its boot of greed. They don’t want to hear good people, hell, they don’t even want to know that good people are out there crying for a better life, a better way, a better future, they simply want a broken system fixed.
Now I do apologize for ‘dumping’ on you, when frankly, I’m just fed up with the whole of this sloppy, disgusting business… But until men/women like you, who actually do have a voice, stand up and do something, say something, make a change… this country is going to die and there’s no resuscitator that will ever be able to start its heart again.
