As of late I have found myself becoming more and more involved in art in odd ways. Such as sprucing up the Mason Bee House (pictured here). Taking out my paints, brushes and sitting there creating this masterpiece over what was something someone else might have tossed out... it looks wonderful, like something from a Bavarian Alpine Haus, just as I intended.
Yet, there have been other little things I've been painting here and there and you know what? I love doing it! I love this kind of artsy fartsy painting.
When all is said and done and the bulk of the house work is finished I'm going to get back into art full time, but for now, while I'm still working too hard inside and outside the house, this kind of artwork will suit me just fine.
Years ago I thought I was learning art in order to get my mom to come back to me... but I was wrong. I was learning art because of all the benefits it was giving to me and all these years later, it's still giving them.
Hooray for art!
