Here's a harsh reality

The government... no, wait, I mean the 'new' Overlord otherwise known as the CDC, has declared that evictions have to hold off until October 1st, because, as you know, putting off the inevitable fuckage is what the CDC Overlord is all about.

But here's a fact you might have forgotten in all this malaise... 

For over a year now landlords, the people who own the places they lease out to tenants, haven't been able to pay their bills, either, because without the rent coming in, how can they? Have they also been given the forbearance that everyone else has been getting? I don't think so. I think they still have to pay their bills all this time, meaning, they're going into serious debt because of this bullshit. 

Now while it may be true that some landlords don't deserve anyone's pity, the bulk of them are simply business people trying to do what they do, whether for good or ill. 

Imagine now, especially now that the Overlord has pushed back the date... AGAIN... of people finally paying their rents... but the bill collectors to the landlords are comin' a knockin'... what are they going to do? 

Well... lose their properties, of course! And who will be buying those properties? Well... big business, of course! And what will those big businesses be doing with those properties once they buy them? Well, raising the rent to an astronomical rate, of course. 

I hadn't thought about that aspect, it was my brilliant husband who reached that height. 

This bullshit pandemic isn't about the housing market... my ass.
