Art imitates life

While watching "The Fugitive" this evening I was stunned at how much that would be a precursor to the world we currently live in. If you haven't seen it, it's about Dr. Richard Kimble, who is accused and tried for killing his wife, whom he claims a one-armed man did it. He struggles to prove his innocence.

The killing was committed by a one-armed man, Frederick Sykes and he was paid to do so (although Richard was his intended target, not his wife)... because the drug company Devlin-McGregor wanted immediate passage of their new drug "Provasic"and Dr. Kimble, being a vascular surgeon, had refuted the drug many times over.

Now, FF to today and all the drug cartels, I mean big pharma, making over a trillion dollars a year on their drugs... do you really think they want anyone to stand in their way? Do you think they really want anyone to get healthy? NO. They want everyone who is currently taking a drug to have to keep taking said drug(s). It's all about the money, NOT health... money.

And they're a group who will kill for it... repeatedly.
