I am so damn tired of seeing this and hearing it on ads/TV shows and so on. You know who has the luxury of staying home... people who work from home or people who no longer have to work or, people who have a shitload of money.
But people who have to work for a living, who have to go to some job and earn income to keep the home alive and functioning, can't stay home. Don't these others get that?! You can't tell someone who lives paycheck to paycheck... hey, stay home, it's all good if you save others lives... because that won't pay their bills, will it? No, it won't. Not that it'll matter, because if America keeps it's things shut down much longer the businesses where these people work will no longer be around anyway, so no jobs, no income and they'll just have to go on welfare... so, good thinking!
And, no shit... while taking a walk today, yuppies came toward us and actually crossed the street to get to the other side. My husband was right when he said 'social distancing' is only a method in which to teach people how not to trust one another.
The Monsters are due on Maple Street.
Hell, they're already here.
But the creme de la creme was this week's Parade magazine... the front cover of it listing how much people made...
Oh, at this particular time... the rude irony of that one.
